By the time you read this, all the threads I have from 4chan from 2008 to 2012 are now uploaded. This project has been in the works since the Yotsuba Society website was launched. After 18 months, I've succeeded in making the operation a success. From now on, every month we will be uploading updates to the archives of the 4chan portion of the threads. While doing so I will begin uploading threads from other major *chans in the chanverse beginning this month.
Missed the 2012 Super Bowl? I did, I was more into collecting threads about the 2012 NFL Super Bowl than actually watching it. Besides I don't watch much TV and since I'm hopelessly unemployable there's no need to watch a sporting game advertising me stuff I can't buy.
It’s been a while since I uploaded a large batch of 4chan threads to the Yotsuba Society Archives. The first batch of threads was from my collection of 4chan threads I’ve saved in 2008. With a few exceptions they’ve been exclusively 4chan related. The first batch was fine to upload with me myself doing the basic html work, but it took me about three or two weeks to get the files public because I had to do them by hand one html line at a time. Uploading the files are easy, but the main issue is creating the html links.
Yesterday marks a milestone for the Yotsuba Society Archives. That milestone is that all the 4chan threads I have uploaded on the archives are now viewable. You may notice that the titling of the threads are not completed yet, but that’s fine. The immediate goal of the archives is to get them listed and viewable. That way I can go through the backlog of threads that were sent to me by the various Historians and Archivers, Yotsuba Society currently has.
